Common questions
The pitch line jumps around or doesn’t follow me.
Sing in a quiet room, with the iPhone in front of you and nothing covering its microphone, and hold each note on an open vowel like “ah”. Music or a TV in the background confuses pitch detection. You can also turn on Smooth pitch line in Settings › Practice.
Singabit doesn’t hear me.
Check that the microphone is allowed: iPhone Settings › Apps › Singabit › Microphone. Singabit always listens through the iPhone’s own microphone, even with headphones on.
The piano and my voice feel out of sync with Bluetooth headphones.
Bluetooth adds a delay. Open Settings › Sound › Delay calibration with your headphones connected and run the test; Singabit saves the delay for each pair of headphones.
I got a new iPhone. Where’s my progress?
Sign in to the same Apple Account with iCloud on: your voice profile, scores, charts and streak sync by themselves. Recordings stay on the iPhone that made them; setting up your new iPhone from a backup of the old one brings them back too.
How do I get Plus back on a new iPhone?
Open Settings › Plus › Plan and tap Restore purchases, signed in to the Apple Account you subscribed with.
How do I cancel, or ask for a refund?
Cancel in iPhone Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions › Singabit. Apple handles refunds: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
My daily reminder doesn’t arrive.
Check Settings › Practice › Daily reminder in Singabit, and that notifications are allowed in iPhone Settings › Notifications › Singabit.
Can I see note names as Do Re Mi?
Yes: Settings › Practice › Note names.
How do I change my voice type?
Settings › Your voice › Retest your range. You can also pick a voice type yourself under Voice type.
How do I export or delete my data?
Settings › Your data. Export gives you a file with your history, range tests, settings and recordings. Delete all my data removes everything on this iPhone and in iCloud.
